And yes! Yangpa does mean onion! We are a travel operator providing fun and safe tours to North Korea. We understand that many people would have concerns about traveling to North Korea. We offer tour guides with western backgrounds who are bilingual in both English and Korean so that there’s never any miscommunication on your North Korea tour.
We accompany you every step of the way during your trip because we don’t ever want you to feel anxious or overwhelmed. We feel visitors get the most out of their time with our guides because of their unique background in Korean culture, their first-hand knowledge of the Korean peninsula and their ability to communicate with the locals there.
Our tours are generally small in size because we do not overwhelm the locals, and we want to provide each person with the space to enjoy their own time. Small groups allow you to build relationships with others on the tour, and also with the North Korean people. We feel this lends itself to building bridges of mutual trust and respect with our hosts, giving them a connection with the rest of the world.
